St Albans Gymnastics Club Fees and Cancellation Policy

Payment Policy

St Albans Gymnastics Club has been providing gymnastics classes to the community since September 2006.  We realise that trust and transparency are essential to our relationship with parents and club members.

At St Albans Gymnastics Club we offer all children the chance to try one class to ensure they enjoy it free of charge. After your trial, when you confirm the space for your child you will receive a Fees Invoice.

All Fee Invoices must be paid by the due date stated on your invoice to retain or book your child's space.

Class Cancellation

Missed Classes – We appreciate that from time to time your child will be unable to attend their classes. Unfortunately, however, we cannot offer to refund you the cost of the class on such occasions even if they have missed the session for reasons beyond their control.

Closure Dates – A Club Closure Date is a session during normal term-time which has been cancelled in advance due to venue hire restrictions. Since we timetable your club calendar to account for these excluded dates, which are properly scheduled beforehand, they do not count as cancellations and therefore do not affect your monthly payments. You will still receive the right number of classes each year because we always plan around these closure dates.

Cancelled Classes – On occasion, we will be forced to cancel classes because of circumstances beyond our control, such as venue closures due to adverse weather conditions. On these occasions, we will usually offer to deduct the class cost from your next invoice, or issue a refund if you will no longer be attending classes following the current school term.

Make-up Classes – A make-up class is an extra session added to the typical club calendar after an unexpected cancellation. The make-up classes are therefore provided at no extra charge on top of your fees, this is because they are offered in place of the session missed through the non-timetabled cancellation. In the event of a make-up class being arranged at short notice, we will always email you in advance to confirm the new time and date of the substitute session.

Membership and Cancellation Policy

Free Trial – We understand at St Albans Gymnastics Club that it is essential for children to try the class before they commit to attending. We offer all children a free trial class. Please note that once the child has decided to join their chosen class you will need to pay the Fees Invoice issued prior to the next class they attend.

Cancellation Policy – If you wish to cancel your gymnast’s membership with St Albans Gymnastics Club, you will need to inform us by email on both info@stalbansgymclub.com and fees@stalbansgymclub.com

If the period of time (Term) stated in the Fees Invoice has not yet started, the club will refund your fees paid within 30 days of your communication, on the receipt of bank details.

If the period of time (Term) stated in the Fees Invoice has already begun, and/or your gymnast has already attended one or more of the classes on the Fees Invoice, then the fees are non-refundable.  This is due to the club being a not-for-profit community club.  Members pay in advance due to the club needing to know how many coaches and spaces are needed for the next academic term.  The club is financially committed to providing that class, space and coach regardless of gymnast attendance.

Please Note that despite not possessing a signed written contract, legally there is a binding contract between us as a class provider, and yourselves as the customer, as you have accepted our services and a space for your gymnast is being provided unless we are informed to the contrary.  You will have agreed to all our club policies, procedures and codes of conduct when you register your gymnast for classes with us.
